Your choice between these two positions is based very closely on the alignments paths you choose to follow throughout the campaign.\u003Ch2 class=\"bb_tag\">\u003Cstrong>Alignments\u003C\u002Fstrong>\u003C\u002Fh2>\u003Cbr>\u003Cbr>The alignments system grants new choices in how you shape your faction over time. The four alignments – Wealth, Spirit, Might and Mind – all grant different bonuses, and their adoption is driven by a wealth of bespoke new events and dilemmas. As your association with specific alignments grows, you’ll begin to encounter events and dilemmas themed specifically around those alignments. \u003Cbr>\u003Cbr>Your alignments also inform the dilemma you’ll face when you capture the emperor. The outcome of this dilemma in turn defines whether you ascend to the highest faction rank of Emperor or Regent.  \u003Cbr>\u003Cbr>Each alignment grants increasing bonuses to aspects of your faction:\u003Cbr>Wealth: Increasing your faction’s alignment with this aspect offers rising bonuses to income, trade and prestige.  \u003Cbr>\u003Cbr>\u003Cul class=\"bb_ul\">\u003Cli>Spirit: Increasing your faction’s alignment with this aspect grants rising bonuses to your faction’s food production, diplomatic relations, noble support and prestige.\u003Cbr>\u003Cbr>\u003C\u002Fli>\u003Cli>Might: Increasing your faction’s alignment with Might brings factionwide bonuses to your armies’ campaign movement range, mustering times, retinue upkeep and prestige.\u003Cbr>\u003Cbr>\u003C\u002Fli>\u003Cli>Mind: Increasing your faction’s alignment with the Mind boosts character experience gains, your faction’s research rate, available administrator positions and prestige.\u003C\u002Fli>\u003C\u002Ful>\u003Ch2 class=\"bb_tag\">\u003Cstrong>Noble Support\u003C\u002Fstrong>\u003C\u002Fh2>\u003Cbr>\u003Cbr>The war of the 8 Princes was largely a struggle for supremacy among the nobility. To reflect this, public order is now known as noble support. Low noble support will cause a rebellious noble-led army to spawn.\u003Cbr>\u003Cbr>However, the sources of positive and negative noble support throughout your infrastructure are thematically very different to public order, as the aristocracy’s needs and desires are different to those of the people. Maintaining stability through noble support will depend on different building choices to the Three Kingdoms period. Many of their features relate to the three Taoist domains of Land, People and Heaven, or the Three Treasures (or virtues) of Taoism: Frugality, Compassion, and Humility. \u003Cbr>\u003Cbr>Reflecting these concepts, the playable Yellow Turban factions are led by the characters He Yi (People), Gong Du (Land) and Huang Shao (Heaven). Zeal is maintained by capturing counties and fighting battles. \u003Cbr>\u003Cbr>Fervour represents the rising support of the common people for the rebellion, and the growing instability this causes the Han. Fervour increases in a region due to the presence of Yellow Turbans forces and buildings, causing increasingly punitive public order penalties for Han factions. At high levels, fervour begins to cross boundaries and affect adjacent regions. Han factions can mitigate the Yellow Turbans’ Fervour by improving their public order infrastructure and capturing nearby Yellow Turbans counties.\u003Cbr>\u003Cbr>\u003Cstrong>Victory Conditions\u003C\u002Fstrong>\u003Cbr>All followers of the Way of Supreme Peace are united in a common goal: overthrowing the Han Empire.
